Why Learn Karate Online?

With all of the options available to you, why learn karate online? This is a great question and I hope to clear a few things up in this article. Let me start by saying I have been studying in the martial arts for over 25 years and I certainly believe in a traditional martial arts program. Studying under the direct guidance of a Master Instructor is the best way to learn. Unfortunately for many people that isn't a reality for a few different reasons which I will list below:

1) COST- the National average for lessons is about $125.00 per month for one student. For many people in this economy that is just too expensive. If it's a family of four that would like to do an activity together this can be quite and investment. Don't get me wrong, I believe it's worth it, IF you can afford it.

2) LOCATION- many people don't live near a dojo and their only option is to make the commute or not take classes.

3) CLASS TIMES- with busy schedules and most people working more hours than ever, many people can't make the class times that the school offers. This once again could leave you in a position where you won't get any of the benefits of martial arts training because it doesn't fit your schedule.

With all of these factors more and more people are turning to online classes. For the same reason most College's offer classes online, the same shift is beginning to take place in the more progressive martial arts schools. Here are just a few of the benefits of learning karate online:

1) COST- most programs average about $25 per month for the entire family!

2) LOCATION- you can train anywhere you have an internet connection. Most people are able to train from home or the office without having to get in their car and commute.

3) CONVENIENCE- As you know the schedule is 24/7! You can train anytime and as often as you like at no extra charge.

Many traditional martial artists are beginning to add online training in addition to their normal class schedule. Many students have found this is an excellent way to gain knowledge and practice their techniques with an instructors guidance. As you look at all of the options available to you, I would certainly consider learning karate online.
